Dr. Kathy Chauvin is a board-certified otolaryngologist (ENT) with over 26 years of experience caring for children and families. She is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and is known for a patient-centered, thoughtful approach that helps parents feel informed and reassured at every step.

Dr. Chauvin earned her medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed her residency training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at LSU. Following residency, she served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at LSU School of Medicine.

 

Dr. Chauvin provides comprehensive pediatric ENT care, including evaluation and treatment for recurrent ear infections, fluid behind the ears, hearing concerns, chronic nasal congestion, allergies, sinus symptoms, and tonsil/adenoid concerns such as snoring and sleep-related breathing issues. She believes in conservative, evidence-based care whenever possible, and recommends surgical intervention only when it’s truly necessary.

A key part of Dr. Chauvin’s practice is education she takes time to explain what she’s seeing, discuss options in plain language, and make sure families leave with a clear plan. She also collaborates closely with pediatricians and referring providers to ensure continuity of care. As a mother of two, Dr. Chauvin understands how stressful it can be when a child isn’t sleeping well, hearing clearly, or getting sick repeatedly and she aims to make each visit calm, efficient, and supportive.

 

Outside of the office, Dr. Chauvin enjoys time with her family, working out, and trying to keep up with her three beagles.
